Halcali on the cover of Zipper!

Exclamation marks are few and far between on this blog, but I almost felt one pop out of the top of my head when, boarding the subway train for work I saw a big picture of H and Y hanging down from the ceiling advertising the new issue of Zipper. Scan back a few posts and you'll notice that Halcali have been regular fashion models inside the magazine for a few months. The cover is an obviously significant step up. Seeing a band toiling away in what felt like a neverending world of obscurity with Sony suddenly back on the front cover of a nationwide magazine should be enough to imagine that there's still hope for Halcali to be able to get people mentioning their names buying their records again.

What a good time for the next single though, wouldn't you agree?

Maybe modelling for them is another part time job so they don't have to quit showbiz?

But if Kimura Kaela was able to go from modelling to music, maybe Halcali can make the transition as well

Ooo! That's a pretty big deal for them! And thanks for the picture of the subway sign. That's really funny.

I'm gonna see if my friend can pick me up this issue. She knows a place in NYC that sells recent japanese mags. I've got to have a copy of this!

That's fantastic!

They really look great on the cover too. ^_^
Definately, definately a good way for them to plug their cds.
They should dress up like this for the booklet shoots too, that probably wouldn't hurt sales :P

*isn't that the Koda Kumi bunny?*

Does anyone know what is happening with the Halcali website...? I've been trying to visit the past few days and I kept getting page cannot be displayed. Now I get some sort of Sony construction site? I'm not sure what it says since I can't read japanese.

The site is just going through some maintainence issues, which is probably why you're having trouble with it. Too much to hope that they're changing the Halcali site to reflect the new single cover?

I thought it looked a bit like the rabbit from Silent Hill. Maybe thats DJ Non inside.

It's a bit quiet around here lately! Can't blame you though. :)

Anyway I've got a good news! According to FPM's blog, there will be a new Halcali album before the end of the year! One new song is to be produced by Tanaka-san. Yeah!!
