B-Pass and Graduation

This month's B-Pass features a one page Halcali interview, where they naturally discuss this weeks (yes, this week!) new release.
The piece contains a bit of concrete information regarding upcoming activities. When asked what will they be getting up to this spring, Yukari says:

We'll be recording, making a new album and a new single.

If the album scheduled to come out spring/summer this year, that might mean the new single Yukari mentioned might get released before then. Possibly around May? This is all guesswork of course, but it leads you to think that, assuming the album is 12 tracks long, and assuming that all the post Ongaku singles will be included, that means we could be familiar with roughly half the album (Twinkle Star, Tip Taps Tip, LOOK, Tougenkyo, Lights, Camera, Action!, and Mystery New Single) before we've even put it on.

Considering not only the amount of old material that the new album would contain, but also the disparity of styles within those songs themselves, the prospect of it is starting to worry me ever so slightly.

Again, this is all speculation, but another single coming along just prior to the albums release seems a certainty at least.

Tougenkyo/LCA! aside, the main topic of conversation was Haruka's graduation, which she also wrote about on their new look blog. I have to admit, I had totally forgotten that she was still in school. With Yukari graduating last year, I wonder if they're still in further education? Do pop stars go to a special pop star school?

Maybe they'll just leave the older songs, TTT and Twinkle Star, off the album. They were better songs but it was over a year ago since they were released.

another new single before the album? i really hope that they mean there will be a single quite soon after the album instead.
-_- sony really does seem to have a problem of letting artists release too many singles before an album.
looking at a few of the albums recently released by them, the majority of tracks on the albums are old. (ohyama yurika's album has 4 new tracks out of 13, SNoW's album has 3 new tracks out of 11. but yuna ito released 6 singles before her first album where 6 of 13 tracks were new, and one of her double a-sides didnt make it on.)

and looking at the little halcali articles i have here, there really is not point in scanning them because they're so tiny.
The one from Shojo Beat came from the 'music issue' where they were nominating artists in different categories. Halcali was nominated for Best Hip-Hop Artists or Group. Their summary reads as follows:
Halca and Yucali's trademark laid-back rapping style garnered the remix treatment on this year's album 'Halcali Mix'.

The one from NewtypeUSA has a picture of the BACON cover, and reads like this:
This is the eagerly-awaited first album from the high school girl group HALCALI. It includes "Tandem" (the ending theme of the digitally-rendered TV anime 'Garakuta Dori no Stain'), an oddly relaxing yet somehow comical tune. Tomoyuki Tanaka (guest producer), Miho Moribayashi and SCHADARAPARR also participated in this album, for a total of 12 songs.

:/
nothing too exciting at all.

Man, I suck. I just realized how long it's been since I promised to post that picture of Halcali in the Bathing Ape catalog. Well, better late than never.

sora-
That's OK, thanks anyway!

caffeinenicotine- Thanks to you too! That's a good shot of them.

As for the singles, I would personally prefer it if we got entirely new material, but considering Strawberry Chips was about a year old when it went on Nosusume, I wouldn't be surprised to see Twinkle Star on there.
