Halcali share a stage with Kayne West, Schadaraparr

I've just been reminded of something I've been meaning to write about for a few days- Halcali will be playing a set at Tokyo's Springroove '08, alongside (wait for it) Kayne West, N.E.R.D., Tekiyaki Boyz (who are still going, apparently) and long time Halcali cohorts Schadaraparr.

Just how well Halcali will go down with that crowd remains to be seen, but their connections with Tekiyaki Boyz and Schadaraparr hopefully means the answer to that will be 'quite well'. They're sure to have fun in any case.

What with this and their recent activities abroad, what we really need to capitalise on it is a new single announcement sometime soon. Some information about that French Cyborg release wouldn't go amiss either!

The line-up sounds amazing so far. Maboroshi, Kreva, Kanye, N.E.R.D., Wise, Halcali...

It looks like A Bathing Ape is sponsoring Halcali for Springroove. Here's hoping they do well and put together a great setlist.

I'd like to know what Kanye thinks of them, haha.

I think Kanye West will be singing along with them to Twinkle Star :P Naw, he's probably playing that song he usually does called "I'm Talentless".

I'd love to see Kayne sing Twinkle Star! Or maybe help them out singing Utamaru's male vocal parts in Wakakusa Dance?

At the very least, I'd like to hear some reaction to them from him, NERD etc. to them.

Yeah, I don't see Kanye West learning Japanese. He'll probably not even know who HALCALI are when he's stood right next to them.
