Lights, Camera, Action (?)

Is it possible we could get a new Halcali single as early as next month?

Seems unlikely doesn't it? But Halcali are going straight out of the frying pan and into the fire as a new song, called Lights, Camera, Action, will feature as the opening theme song to a new Fuji TV “late night” animation series 月面兎兵器ミーナ (Getsumen To Heiki Mina). The first of which will be broadcast on the 13th of January.

Predictably, the official site offers no information of any kind. Scroll down to the bottom of this page though, to see some other official confirmation.

The question is, will this song be pressed onto some shiny new CD's or not? Two singles in as many months would certainly be a change of pace for the notoriously unprolific group.

Of course I'm excited that HALCALI has something new for us. I always am. But at the same time I'm a little worried. I hope that they won't get stuck doing only themes for shows. It's kinda feels like it's all Sony wants them to do.

Also, does anyone know what the final sales figures were on LOOK? I've been trying to figure it out, but from what i've seen it didn't seem to even make it into the top 50...

as long as it keeps them trucking and releasing i'm fine with whatever they do. it's hard enough to stay afloat in the industry nowadays, especially for a relatively old group like halcali.

a lot better than 10 months of inactivity. personally i'm hyped :D

i would also like to know how LOOK did. not looking so good tho i guess...but well that just strengthens my original point. they need to take whatever project tie in they can get.

Looks like Lights, Camera, Action! is officially a new single.

HMV.co.jp has it up for pre-order HERE
Just a cd-only version though.

Guess the bonus DVD with Look was just a lucky treat for us.
*hopes a new album will have a dvd*
