LOOK PV

Sora Kara was kind enough to upload the LOOK PV, which after a few viewings i'm tempted to put down as one of their best.

I'm still not entirely convinced by the song though, but if you're like me and you've always wanted to see Halcali spinning around in a little Rubik's Cube, I'd recommend this video to you 98%.

found it. refresh helps.

cute video that could have been my favourite halcali PV too, if the song had been a little stronger.

i think it's a really great song and video as well, but i can't get pass that last scene at the very end. anytime that a group starts pulling things from the past (in this case, shots of them in old costumes) it usually signifies something...bad. i reallllly hope i'm wrong on this, but i've seen many cases where a group "goes back in time" and then disbands right afterwards.

sorry to bring up a depressing topic, so plz tell me i'm wrong here :(

I doubt Sony would pick them up to release a couple singles, maybe an album then drop them right after.

I took the last shot as more of a "Hey look, remember us? We're those same girls, but we've grown up a bit!" kind of thing. :P

Either way, I am completely in love with the video. :D

This PV cheered me up. After seeing the PPGZ preview I was concerned that I wasn't going to like "Look". Well, now I'm a convert. Well done Halcali. They need a bit of chart success to get things moving in the right direction again and now I'm hopeful they may actually get it.

Okay the first thing I thought after I saw this PV was 'They nailed it!' They did a really good job at making an attention grabbing PV and I think people will remember this. I actually like the song a lot better in it's full form. I guess for the ending of Powerpuff they clipped and edited it. It flows a lot better and sounds a lot more HALCALI-ish in it's full form.

Although it still isn't my favorite song I'm really glad that I already preordered the DVD single. I hope this PV is on it. Can't wait until December now!

Interesting, I didn't really think of it like that. Could you cite any examples?
I was actually pleased that Halcali referenced their past like this, one thing the band needs right now (and which this single doesnt really give them I suppose) is some sense of continuity.

well two concrete examples i can think of is luna sea and sweets. luna sea's last album was titled "lunacy," which was the band's original name. ppl were like "oh it's a new beginning!" but it was the exact opposite. it was a full circle was what it was, cuz they announced their disbandment the day before the albumn hit.

sweets was similar, but much more blatent. during their comeback single, oddly (at the time) title "bitter sweets," there was a scene towards the end of the PV where the cover shots of all thier previous singles flew by in an uber ghetto video effect. fans took a similar stance "it's a new beginning" despite the ridiculous name of the song as well. they then disbanded one single later.

i not a fan of doomsday theories, and i love halcali so i really hope i'm wrong :(

i also noticed, a verse in the tv size powerpuff girls version of the song is missing from the PV they just released. the verse where they sing "hoshi no urannai zembu nuritsubunoyo" is missing. coupled with the abrupt ending of the song, it makes me think this is a short version still. the full song is probably longer, and the dvd probably comes with the full PV.

Watching it a few times, I'm just starting to think it looks a little tacky. And although the more rap-focused parts are great, the chorus and general sung bits seem just plain dull to me.

The do girls look really grown up, though, and the Strawberry Chips reference was adorable. But is it just me, or did Yukari get way more screen time than Haruka?

I really like his song and the PV. Was a bit dubious after Tip Taps Tip which I just couldn't grow to like at all.

Is it just me or does this song sound very like mihimaru GT?

I like how this video isn't trying as hard as it can to be weird (as Twinkle Star and Tip Taps Tip were). It's just a cool premise. It's fun.
I almost cried at that last scene, with the Strawberry Chips outfits. I was like, "OMG old HALCALI~~" I only wish they had had more of their old outfits in the end bit (Electric Sensei's coveralls, Girigiri's street thug outfits, maybe some Hanpandas trying to solve the cubes, etc... ^^)
I hate the song as compared to their older stuff, though. I like the old fast beats and loud background music and fast-paced rapping. Get back to that.

I still just can't get into it at all, it simply washes over me every time I listen to it.
Still love the video though, although those "funny faces" they seem so fond of pulling grate a little bit.
