Music Station

A few minutes ago, Halcali marked their first return to Music Station in about a year. Yukari said she was so nervous that her stomach hurt, and during the performance you could tell the TV nerves were racking them a little bit. It was a good performance overall though, and I love those Tip Taps Tip haircuts!

Next-
It's a year old, but it's still great- Halcali doing Baby Blue! on Music Station has been posted on You Tube. As i'm sure you've noticed, the DJ is the same here as in the TTT performance. Is this long time Halcali live DJ DJ Non? If so, it looks like he was one of the few to survive the cull.

Oh thanks so much for putting that up there!

^_^

What a cute performance!
You could tell they were nervous, but they still did a great job.

*can't believe they actually had their hair like that HA!*

Any idea how the talk went?

Thanks for the vid, they sure do look nervous, plus they're moving in this performance insted of walking around like in the MV.

Glad you both liked it. There wasn't actually any Halcali talk at all. As i'm sure you know whatever artist is on next usually gets a few minutes to talk. Halcali were on first though, and got nothing aside from a very brief introduction at the start (where Yukari made her comment about having a stomach ache). Bottom of the bill again!

That was super fun, thanks!

Is the DJ in the back just a prop, I wonder. I can't hear any of the scratching he seems to be doing... but he sure looks busy doing something.

I'm pretty sure he was just a prop.

Don't change the hair. I love their new hair. In fact, it augments their shoulder-dancing very well in this video.

I love the hair. My comment was a weak allusion to the pop group Puffy. Some pop culture observers consider Halcali to be "the new Puffy" as they both generally choose hip street fashion over shiny coordinated outfits and dance with more passion than precision.

It wasn't weak, I got it! I liked your "more passion than precision" comment too. Theres always been a roughness, or an unpredictability about the band that I don't really see in other bands of this ilk who constantly just hit the right spots on que.

Halcali is the new hotness blasting from my stereos haha. I like this song, but I wish the Tip Taps PV was a bit not-so-weird. I deleted it 'cause nothing was really going on :P.

Marching Band is my current favorite Halcali song.

Their style definitely makes me want to bust out the ole breakdance moves :D

I was just confused by the video. What's up with the question marks and the birds? I'm so used to stuff being lost in translation that I didn't dwell on it.

Take Puffy's breakout hit "Asia no Junshin". I think it is about finding love on the internet, but then they start singing "Take every panda and line them all up, every single white one". Um, O.K. I'll go gather up all my pandas.
